Order of the Phoenix - the film

Went to see it last week, but haven't got round to updating this recently (not that it matters as nobody else seems to read it!) - very, very good film, much better than the book (not that that would be difficult tbh, by far the worst of the 7 books IMO) - it ditched quite a bit of the waffle from the book that I thought was rather turgid and unnecessary, and condensed it into the basic plot line. One or two things were changed that maybe didn't need to be, or it would have been better had they been there (Cho's friend, rather than her, betraying the DA for instance) but the vast multitude of ministerial diktats were highly amusing and it worked as a film, though how someone who had never read the book would find it I obviously don't know, I think they'd follow it well enough, and nothing appears to have been dumped that will be of vital importance in the last 2 films
